Plan limits and what happens at each one
Each plan caps apps, people, database storage, app emails and a few other things. Reaching a limit stops the next new thing (a new app, an invitation, an outside service, an email) and Claude tells you which limit it was. Apps that are already running keep running.

What each limit does when you reach it
Apps. Creating one more is refused until you delete or upgrade. The apps you have carry on.
People. Adding someone past the cap is refused with a link to upgrade. If a person who isn't on the list asks for access because of the cap, the email to you says so. What counts is explained in sharing and sign-in.
Outside services. The cap per app is checked when Claude asks and again when you approve, so a request can be refused at either step. See approving outside services.
App emails. Once the month's quota is used, sending is refused until the 1st of next month. Sign-in emails never count. On Free, app email can go only to workspace members, app members and the owner.
Regions. Free keeps all your apps in one region. Paid plans choose a region per app. All four regions (US, EU, UK and Australia) can be chosen on every plan. The first app in a new region can take a few minutes longer to start.
Public pages and company-domain access. Asking for either on Free is refused.
Sleeping. Apps on Free sleep after 15 minutes without a visitor. The next request meets a short "waking" page that refreshes itself while the app starts. On paid plans, apps are kept awake oldest first until the shared memory pool is used up, and any beyond it sleep like a Free app.
Backups. The backup rows above are how far back Claude can look and restore. Restore itself works on every plan; see backups and restore.
Is there a warning first?
When usage gets close to a limit (around 80 percent), Claude mentions it, and get_started shows your usage against the limits for apps, people and app emails this month.
Upgrading
Ask Claude to upgrade your plan. It shows the plans and gives you a link, and payment happens only on the page you open, never in the chat.
